Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken thighs or breasts

  • 2 juiced limes

  • 1 cup of water

  • 1/2 cup salsa of your choice

  • 1 tablespoon chili powder

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

Directions

  • Cut excess fat from chicken. Place the chicken and other ingredients in a slow cooker.
  • Pour in 1 cup of water. Cook on low for 4-5 hours.
  • After the chicken has cooled, pull apart with fork or fingers to shred.

Notes

  • Top with avocado, fresh cilantro, small white onion, hot sauce, lettuce or your topping of choice. This recipe pairs well with a cauliflower tortilla.
